[adding on 5-2-2020] Forgot to mention… Orchard Grocery is also like a NYC Vegan Bodega. Lots of cool food items to buy here to take home and cook yourself as you can see in the pics. I bought a couple types of seitan I’ve never seen anywhere else and I got some soy curls which are really hard to find in the NY area but all Canadian Vegan food bloggers seems to have all the time. Small place but packed with vegan essentials and goodies. Highly recommended !!

[original post] I’m always on the alert for NYC Vegan Eats. This place is fairly new and it’s in the East Village in a very cool neighborhood. I’ve only been here once so far but I’ll add to this post as we get out of lock-down and I can go back more easily. I walked there from the West Village just before closing on a FREEZING night in January 2020. The “JUST Egg” vegan sandwich I got was piping hot and just right for standing outside on a NYC sidewalk at night in freezing temps to eat. lol
